If you follow us on instagram you know we had a contest to see who could post the best picture in their Lime Ricki suit. They were all amazing, it was so hard to choose! And how can you not respect a lady willing to post a selfie on the internet?! We LOVE.

Our winner was chosen because she said that her Lime Ricki made her feel like a super hero, and we love hearing that.

Never be afraid to snap a shot of yourself and put in on the web. You look amazing, promise. Keep on taking selfies in your Lime Ricki’s, and keep tagging us. You might be featured on our website or in our social content!

At The Shop: Maternity Suits

A question we get a lot is “Do you carry maternity swimsuits?” The answer is “Yes & No”. While we don’t carry any suits specifically for maternity, we have great collections of modest swimwear that address the fit concerns you might have with a pregnancy suit: room to grow, supportive silhouettes, coverage options, and inclusive sizes, all in a cute suit that is on trend.

The biggest benefit of buying a Lime Ricki suit in leu of a maternity suit is it will be swimwear you can love during and after your pregnancy!

Swimsuit shopping is tricky. We all know it. We all dread it at some point. But we love working in the store knowing each person that comes in has a specific goal in mind: finding THE best swimsuit, a challenge we LOVE to assist them in. Each person will have different concerns (bust, waist, hips, the right color for their skin tone, the list goes on) and it’s an exhilarating task to help them navigate their options, and ultimately find “the one”.  Browse our newest products for a great selection of modest swimsuits & clothing for women.

Also, check out our size chart and measuring guide for even more fit advice!

Mix and Match Swimwear

Mix and Match Swimwear

Mixing and matching allows you to create new looks that fit your unique and expressive style. Each Lime Ricki collection is designed to offer an amazing selection of pieces that work well for matching tops and bottoms. But we also keep in mind how our different lines work together to mix it up, for example, our Resort Collection and Spring Collection.

Some people may want mix and match with a pattern and a solid or designs that complement each other. Some may want to pair two different patterns for a really bold look. It's totally up to you - go with what feels good!

What’s your favorite combination? Let us know what you'll be mixing and matching for swimwear this season in the comments below.

Bright and Bold

Our collection this season is full of bold and bright colors and fun patterns. However, we’re not just keeping these colors in our swim suit line. We’re trying them out in our everyday outfits as well. That’s right, we’re going bright and bold this holiday season. Yeah, the weather may be drab and Mother Nature herself isn’t dressed in the brightest of colors, but that doesn’t mean your wardrobe has to suffer.

Here are some of the colors and patterns I was inspired by from our collection and how I used them in my wardrobe.

How to Get the Perfect Triangle Tip Nails Every Time

People can do amazing things with nail art these days! While we know there's nothing quite as nice as getting your nails expertly done, we also don’t always have the time (or the money) to make that happen. But just because you may be short on time doesn’t mean you have to skimp on your nail style. You don’t have to be a professional stylist to try nail designs out for yourself! All you need are a few tips, a little do-it-yourself attitude, and you can keep your nails looking “sharp” at home.

Triangle tip nails are the perfect example of a nail design you can do yourself. This eye-catching style lends itself to a ton of creative variations, but getting started is easy. All you need to "nail" triangle tips is one piece of tape, a pair of scissors, and your favorite nail polish. (You should be able to reuse the same piece of tape for each finger, but just in case that piece of tape starts to fall apart, keep your scissors and some backup tape close by!)

First, cut the tip of the piece of tape into a triangle shape. Next, line up the tip of the tape triangle with the tip of your nail. Make sure the piece of tape is exactly where you want it, then paint the exposed part of your nail with your favorite polish. Remove the tape to reveal the perfect triangle tip every single time!

Repeat this process with every nail or use it on just a few to create your own unique look. You can always use a q-tip dipped in nail polish remover to touch up any mistakes. Make sure to go over each nail with your favorite protective topcoat, and BOOM! You have a perfect, polished manicure!

Once you master this first triangle design, you can try cutting different lines for new styles. Give your first coat of polish time to dry completely, then layer a second piece of tape and use a second polish color to produce stunning colorblocking or subtle multi-tonal looks.

Doesn’t that sound so simple? Triangle nail tips are quick and easy for us, but even great for teens just learning to paint their own nails, and it makes for a great group activity, too! Get ready to impress all of your friends with your skills and have a great time doing it.

High Waisted

Have you not noticed that everything is high waisted these days? Have you been living under a rock? High waisted is in. In I tell you! Sorry. I just get a little enthusiastic when it comes to all things high waisted. Shorts, pants, skirts, dresses, and, you guessed it, bathing suits. High waisted bathing suits are the best high waisted things.

Women in the 1920-60’s wore high waisted bathing suits. Why? Because they are flattering. And so classy. They accentuate your waist, making it appear smaller and they accentuate your hips making you super curvy-licious. And you’re in luck because the Parker Barker collection is high waisted! (How many times do you think I can say high waisted in this blog post?)

My point is, high waisted bathing suits are flattering, classy, and perfect. I mean, look at those women! Talk about flattering swimwear.
