So you want pink hair? Not really sure how to get it temporarily? I’m here to help. There are few ways to be temporarily pink without making your mother scream. If you’re looking for a one night thing, there are many drug store items you can choose from. But, if you’re looking for a pink that will last a few days–color care shampoo/conditioner is your answer.

Davines Alchemic Conditioner for Natural and Coloured Hair in Red is supposed to be used on redheads to maintain their vibrant color BUT when placed on blondes (bleached or non-bleached) it becomes multiple shades of pink (depending on the color of your blonde). The color will wash out after 3-4 shampoos and the longer you keep it in initially, the brighter the pink. This is also easy to use just on your ends if that’s the look you’re going for.

I myself am not a pink person, I prefer purple. So instead of the conditioner above, I use purple shampoo. Purple shampoo is designed for bleached blondes in order to get rid of those annoying copper tones. If you use it enough (like I do) your blonde will turn white and eventually a beautiful grey/purple color. I use Matrix So Silver shampoo but I’ve also heard great things about Joico Color Endure Violet shampoo. This method takes a bit longer to get the color you want but if you leave the shampoo in for 10-20 minutes you’ll see a very noticeable difference after the first use.

Don’t tell your mom I encouraged you to go pink/purple ;)
