Road Tripping
When I read books about the open road, my heart swells. The idea that a car, some gas money, and the promise of adventure is enough to get you from place to place is one I’ll always be fond of. Tomorrow I’m going to Montana, but it feels like I’m seeing the world. Jutting mountains and forests for days are the promises of the big sky country. I’ve only been once, to a lake house cabin on the northern end, and I’ve wanted to go back ever since. I learned how to kneeboard on that lake. I don’t know if I’ll see any moose, but I’ll be sure to keep my eyes peeled, and on the road of course, for some great sights along the way. A road trip, like most everything, is always better with someone, so I’ll be thinking of the girl in Huntington. I’ve packed some snacks, taken care of the radio, and I feel set.
Is there anything I’m missing though? Best road trip snacks? Have a good road mix? Let me know. And make sure you take the chance to see the open road and where it goes sometime this summer. The world is a big place.
