Music is a scent in the air. Pine if you like the crooked tops of Douglas firs and how they dot the hillsides in the northwest. Salt if you prefer the way waves foam and crawl up under your feet anywhere you can find an ocean.

Music isn’t usually just the sound you hear, which is why it’s so powerful. Put a song on from high school and see what it does to you. It transforms your world from whatever it is, to whatever it was the very first time you heard that song. Or maybe it was the 6890th time you heard it, but it was in a crammed car with cracked windows and a vanillaroma air freshener hanging from the mirror.

Here is one last summer jam, in the hopes that you’ll find a way to make memories with it. Because to someone, somewhere, the summer of 2013 was the best thing that ever happened to them.
