We all love binge watching Netflix, am I right? But sometimes you don’t know what to watch! And let’s be honest, there’s some interesting options on there. We have found the best movies and shows and they’re all family appropriate. Let us know what we missed in the comments!

Let’s start with the ones that you probably haven’t seen.

-Robot and Frank- This indie film is a must watch. Quirky and adorable.

-Hugo- Now you’ve probably heard of this one, but have you seen it? Absolutely darling.

-Shrek the Musical- A LR employee who is a theatre junky recommends this one.

-Madeline- We love our bread, we love our butter, but most of all- We love EACH OTHER! Sound familiar?

Now the one’s you’ve heard of a million times, the classics. We all love a good Disney movie, but all of our Disney movies are cassettes, and who knows where our VCR went? Netflix has some great Disney classics.

-The Emperors New Groove- This movie is absolutely hilarious, and will cheer the whole family up.

-Tarzan (our FAVORITE)- Such a classic. You really cannot go wrong with this movie.

-James and the Giant Peach- A lot of folks haven’t seen this one, but you should! It is absolutely darling. Read the book by Roald Dahl, too.

-Dumbo- Duh :) 

-Old Yeller- Does just hearing the name make you feel young again?

-Mulan- Girl power!

-Aristocats- Everybody wants to be a cat.

-Freaky Friday- This movie is hilarious, and is perfect for a family with teenagers.

-101 Dalmatians- A classic for our dog loving families, couples, or friends.

-The Parent Trap- We’re gonna go ahead and name this the best movie on here.

Let’s move onto TV shows. When you don’t have enough time for a movie night.

-Malcom in the Middle- We’re embarrassed that we haven’t watched this beloved classic until this week. It is so heartwarming and hilarious.

-The Dick Van Dyke Show- Another heartwarming classic. Watch this with hot chocolate and a fuzzy blanket, the black and white makes everything cozier.

-Dr Who- A show with a strong fan base. Like this show and you instantly have friends all over the world to fangirl over.

A wonderful way to remember the life of actor Robin Williams is to watch his greatest movies. We recommend:

-Hook- A take on Peter Pan, this one is probably our favorite of William’s.

-Flubber- A darling movie sure to make the little ones laugh. Family movie night or for the kids you’re babysitting!

-Jumanji- This movie was so intriguing when we were young, can’t wait to watch it again!

You either love documentaries or you haven’t seen a good one yet. Here’s some good ones:

-Journey to Fearless- This Taylor Swift documentary is saved for your girls night.

-Animal Odd Couples- Do you want to watch 53 minutes of Cute Overload? Watch this interesting and adorable documentary.

-Feeding Time- Another adorable one, basically watching cute animals eat.

-Being Elmo: A Puppeteer’s Journey- Learn about the hand behind Sesame Street’s Elmo. Plus it’s narrated by Whoopi Goldberg.
