Every time the new year rolls around, we find ourselves working on eating healthy, cooking more, and improving our lives. And what better way to do that than with gorgeous, fruit and veggie filled smoothie bowls? We found the ones with the prettiest colors, the best flavors, and we’ll definitely be making them over and over again this year.
1. Mixed Berry Smoothie Bowl
Adapted from a Buzzfeed recipe
Depending on the berries you add to this one, it can come out as a vibrant shade of red or purple. (We added quite a few blueberries to get this color.)
Ingredients:
Smoothie:
• 1 1/2 cups frozen mixed berries (such as strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries)
• 1/4 cup pomegranate juice (add a little more if needed for blending)
• 1/4 to 1/3 cup plain yogurt
Toppings:
• Pumpkin seeds
• Blueberries
• Sliced banana
• Vanilla granola
Instructions:
Blend the berries, juice, and yogurt until smooth. Transfer to a bowl and top with your desired toppings.
2. Super Green Smoothie Bowl
Adapted from a recipe by Minimalist Baker
This one is packed with veggies, fruit, and nut butter protein for a bowl that can be a full meal. The more leafy greens you add, the prettier the color!
Ingredients:
Smoothie:
• 2 medium ripe bananas, previously sliced and frozen
• 1 cup frozen strawberries
• 2 large handfuls spinach
• 1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk
• 2 Tbsp salted creamy almond butter
• Handful of ice cubes
Toppings:
• Slivered almonds
• Chia seeds
• Raspberries
• Blueberries
• Coconut flakes
Instructions:
Blend all the smoothie ingredients until smooth. If it comes out too thin, add more ice to achieve desired texture. Transfer to a bowl and top with listed toppings.
3. Grapefruit Smoothie Bowl

A grapefruit based bowl is perfect for the winter, when the tangy fruits are in season. We love how flavorful this one is!
Ingredients:
Smoothie:
• Juice from 1/2 grapefruit

• 1 frozen banana
• 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
• 1/4 cup plain yogurt
• Handful of ice cubes
