We’ve been talking about all things fall on our blog lately – fashion, music, food, nail polish, books, and even desktop backgrounds. Today, we’re back with more food, specifically our fall Trader Joe’s picks! If you were to come by one of our meetings every week, chances are you’d find at least one Trader Joe’s snack on the table for us to munch on. What can we say? We love TJ’s! And when all the fall treats arrive in our local store, it’s like Christmas! So much pumpkin and apple and otherwise yummy items.
Here’s our list of our favorite fall Trader Joe’s items – and a few others that we just love, regardless of whether they’re specific to fall or not!
1. Fall Harvest Salsa
If you haven’t had the fall harvest salsa, you haven’t lived. It’s a blend of pumpkin, butternut squash, apple, tomatillo, and lots of other delicious fruits and veggies. Pair it with one of the next two items on the list for the perfect chips and salsa experience.
2. Sweet Potato Tortilla Chips
Don’t let the bright orange color of these chips dissuade you – they’re to-die-for, and, as mentioned above, the perfect complement to the fall harvest salsa.
3. Pumpkin Tortilla Chips
If you’re a pumpkin-addict like most of us here at Lime Ricki, these chips will add just enough of the flavor to your snack. We’ve been eating them by the handful!
4. Fig Butter
If you love all things fig, you’ll love the Trader Joe’s fig butter. The dark sweetness melts in your mouth, and since fall is the time figs are in season, this will fit in perfectly on your dinner table.
5. Saint-André Triple Crème Cheese
Not sure what to eat the fig butter with? Spread it on a slice of brioche toasts (the next item on the list) along with this divine triple creme cheese. You might not be able to stop eating this!
6. Brioche Toasts
These crispy, delectable slices are perfect for spreadable cheese or jam. They might not be a strictly fall item, but there’s plenty to pair them with!
7. Cookie Butter Cheesecake Bites
Also not necessarily a fall item, these cheesecake bites are still definitely worth mentioning. They’re made with TJ’s signature Bischoff cookie butter and they are one of the best things we’ve ever tasted. Just make sure you have plenty of friends around to share them with!
8. Pumpkin Seed Brittle
We’ll admit, when we first saw this on the shelves, we weren’t too sure. But after taking that first nibble, we were hooked. It’s crispy, crunchy, and dusted with pumpkin pie spice and sugar, so how can you go wrong?
9. Salsa Autentica
If fall salsa isn’t your jam, pick up some of this classic to go with your pumpkin or sweet potato chips. Just spicy enough to add the perfect flavor, you won’t be able to put it down.
10. Spindrift Seltzer
This isn’t fall related or even a Trader Joe’s original, but you can bet we’re picking some up every time we stop by. The watermelon and grapefruit flavors are our faves!
11. Spiced Cider
The spiced cider is perhaps the best thing that appears at TJ’s during the fall and holiday seasons. It tastes like the perfectly spiced apple cider or wassail, and can be enjoyed hot or cold. If you try nothing else on this list, make sure you at least give this one a go!
